Online public training Stoffenmanager®

Are you one of the thousands OSH professionals now working from home to prevent the spread of the COVID-19? This is a good moment to focus on items that can be done online, such as evaluating your workplace for chemical hazards and risk with Stoffenmanager®. If you have not yet followed our Stoffenmanager® in-company training, due to lack of time or resources, this is a great opportunity for you!

We are delighted to offer the first international public “Stoffenmanager®” training online. The training will be given in English. This interactive e-learning program is a good mix of theory and practice for working with Stoffenmanager®, and you will receive direct feedback regarding your completed tasks. During the online training, an experienced Stoffenmanager® consultant will be constantly available. We make use of interactive games, cases and other assignments. The training may be completed online in as little as 6 hours, divided into two sessions with homework between.

The first international public training “Stoffenmanager®” is offered online. The training can be completed online in as little as 6 hours, divided into two sessions with a homework between. The first session will be held on Monday, May 11th from 9:30 AM CET to around noon (12 PM CET). The second session will be held on Tuesday, May 12th from 9:30 AM CET to around noon (12 PM CET). You can register for both parts now.

Part 1: Inventory of your products

Monday, May 11th from 9:30 AM CET to around noon (12 PM CET). 

The Stoffenmanager® training – part 1 has been set up for new users of Stoffenmanager®. During the training, you will learn how to implement Stoffenmanager® in your company and how to enter products. At the end of the day, you will have the necessary knowledge to be able to import products into Stoffenmanager®.

This part will cover the following items:

The history of Stoffenmanager®
General information such as vapour pressure, limit values, safety data sheets (SDS) and the occupational hygiene strategy
Legislation on dangerous substances.
Importing products
The Stoffenmanager® SHARE module
The CMR register and how can you generate it in Stoffenmanager®

The online training is a “live” hands-on working session, where you will practice directly on your computer. The training will be given in English. Instructions and practical assignments will be given by the trainer that can be carried out either immediately or as homework. Participants can ask the trainer questions directly via the microphone or via chat. So, there is a direct “live” interaction between the participants and the trainer. The trainer will be visible during the training. 

Part 2: Risk prioritization and assessment

For the Stoffenmanager® training – part 2, we assume that you already have experience and knowledge in product import (or that you have followed a training on this) and that you know what limit values and vapour pressure are and what the STOP principal is. You can read safety data sheets. At the end of the day, you will have the necessary knowledge to perform a risk assessment and to interpret the result.

Part 2: Prioritizing and Assessing

Tuesday, May 12th from 9:30 AM CET

This part will cover the following items:

The qualitative and quantitative risk assessment routes for inhalation.
The algorithms behind Stoffenmanager®.
Limit values and where you can find them.
Conducting risk assessments.
How to interpreter risk assessments in Stoffenmanager®.
