Build a strong foundation for working safely with hazardous substances

Are you new to Stoffenmanager® or are you working with hazardous substance inventories for the first time? Then this basic training course is the ideal place to start. You will learn step by step how to use Stoffenmanager®, enter products correctly, and apply the right information from Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).

During this practical training course, you will become familiar with the key functionalities of Stoffenmanager®. You will learn what information is required for a reliable inventory, how to generate Workplace Instruction Cards (WICs), and how to establish a solid foundation for further risk assessments. After completing the training, you will be able to work independently with the basic features of Stoffenmanager®

What will be covered?

During this training course, you will learn, among other things:

• Which information from Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to use.
• How to enter products and product data in Stoffenmanager®.
• How to manage and configure the settings in Stoffenmanager®.
• How to generate Workplace Instruction Cards (WIC/PIKA).
• How hazardous substances can be absorbed through the skin.
• The difference between local and systemic effects.

You will conclude the training with an assignment, allowing you to immediately apply what you have learned within your own organisation.

Who is this training for?

Do you work with Stoffenmanager® and are you responsible for entering, managing, or maintaining an inventory of hazardous substances? Then this training is for you.

Whether you are an HSE manager, prevention officer, administrative professional, or work in another role involving Stoffenmanager®, this training provides a solid and practical foundation for working with the application.

After completing the training, you will be able to:

• Work independently with the basic features of Stoffenmanager®
• Process product information and SDSs correctly
• Identify and assess hazards
• Generate Workplace Instruction Cards (WICs)

Certification

SKO certification points for training participants

If you are an Arbeidshygiënist, Gezondheidskundig Adviseur Gevaarlijke Stoffen or Veiligheidskundige, you may be eligible for the "Waardering Hobéon SKO-AH" and/or "Waardering Hobéon SKO-VK". Completing training courses 1 through 4 awards a total of 2 certification points. If you complete one training course, you will receive 0.5 certification points.

Common challenges in practice

Many organisations encounter similar challenges when creating and maintaining an inventory of hazardous substances. During this training, we therefore pay particular attention to common mistakes and how to avoid them in practice.

Examples include:

• Using incorrect or incomplete information from an SDS.
• Entering incomplete product information, resulting in less reliable risk assessments.
• Incorrectly interpreting H-statements.
• Overlooking important settings within Stoffenmanager®.
• Generating Workplace Instruction Cards (WICs) without all the required information.
